Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU Float Pool (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple ICU settings including Medical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical/Trauma ICU based on experience and competencies
• Provide care for standard ICU patients including sedated, intubated, and patients requiring vasopressors; high-complexity interventions such as CRRT assigned only to those with verified competencies
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU settings and 1:3 when floating to Intermediate Care (IMC) units
• Demonstrate flexibility with assignments, including the potential to accept multiple different unit assignments within a single shift
• Operate advanced equipment including EVD, and preferably Impella 5.5 and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Maine or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Ability to meet a 75% weekend hours requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Impella 5.5 and/or Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Competency in CRRT or other high-complexity ICU interventions
• Prior float pool experience across multiple ICU specialties
• Strong team communication skills and commitment to outstanding patient care
