Description

  • Conduct evaluations for a wide range of patients, utilizing both structured assessments and keen observational skills.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that address immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
  • Deliver dedicated one-on-one therapy focused on enhancing communication abilities, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Coordinate with other health professionalsphysical and occupational therapists, physicians, and familiesto develop integrated care plans.
  • Educate patients and families, empowering them to continue progress at home.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless transition throughout the care continuum.
  • Accurately document patient sessions in compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Commit to professional development by participating in ongoing education and collaborative peer discussions.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within the first 30 days of hire.

  • Strong foundation in evidence-based practices for a diverse age range, with insight into developmental and acquired disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and collaborative healthcare teams.
