Industrial Maintenance TechnicianThe Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing advanced maintenance operations, supporting preventive maintenance systems, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment within the facility.Physical RequirementsStand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching, Repetitive MotionFunction in the JobMedium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Job FunctionAssist maintenance manager with any necessary maintenance tasks and support overall maintenance operationsAssist with preventive maintenance (PM) systems and help implement and maintain preventive maintenance measuresEnsure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinesTroubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing equipment, listening for issues, and using measuring and testing instrumentsRepair and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranesInspect parts to determine dimensional changes using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, and adjust functional components as neededPerform general building maintenance tasks as requiredFabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipmentMaintain and complete all necessary paperwork and log information into maintenance softwarePrepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing informationSupport production by helping reduce downtime and communicating preventive maintenance practicesMaintain a safe and clean work environment by following company procedures, rules, and regulationsRequired SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
