Inpatient Pharmacist Opportunity

A hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist with inpatient experience to provide critical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule working five 8-hour shifts per week, with variable afternoons and some weekend hours. The assignment is expected to last approximately 13 weeks, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide leadership within the pharmacy team
• Consult collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical records to document and manage patient information accurately
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards related to medication management

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active California pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Full-time availability with flexibility to work variable days, afternoons, and weekends as needed
• Ability to operate within a budget-conscious environment while maintaining high-quality pharmacy services
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar hospital IT systems preferred
