Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Overview Senior Manufacturing Engineering – part of the Executive Transportation Planning team for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) based in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing plans, bills of material, work instructions, and illustration documents to define and document as-built configuration. Position Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Lead collaboration and integration across affected commodities. Integrate changes to affected commodities and execute the Build Integration milestones. Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate a producible definition and investigate alternative solutions to meet producibility requirement. Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues that arise during manufacturing activities. Create installation planning and support installation planning shipside in San Antonio. Support team performance by participating in process/tool improvement projects. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to support business needs and deadlines. Resolve complex technical problems. Provide guidance to others through structured mentoring. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 9+ years of related work experience. Experience in an Electrical Manufacturing Engineering role. Experience with wire bundle fabrication concepts, wiring installation, electrical equipment installation or installation of wiring provisions. 3+ years of experience leading a team in a formal and/or informal role. Experience leading or managing a cross‑functional project. Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial or military airplane maintenance and/or modification. Experience testing and troubleshooting commercial aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Experience using Electrical Design Automation (EDA) tools such as OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, Altium or PSPICE to perform schematic capture, PCB design/layout, and circuit simulation. Experience working with WIRS software. Location & Availability 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX. Security Clearance Requires ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required. Export Control This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
