About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12:45 PM - 1:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting License: Valid RN license Certifications: - ACLS prior to hire - BLS prior to hire - PALS prior to hire - TNCC prior to hire - CPI prior to hire - NIHSS prior to hire - ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center with high volume - Previous experience in a similar work environment preferred - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and give real-time feedback - Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department Description: The role is in the Emergency Department. The department has 101 beds, with typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Technicians and unit clerks are available during both day and night shifts. Type of equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors. Documentation is managed through a Cerner system. Scheduling requires availability for every other weekend, with an emphasis on meeting the department's needs. There is no floating outside of the emergency department, but staff must be open to floating within different sections of the emergency department. Patient experience protocols include AIDET and respectful behavior towards all patients. Information must be continuously updated throughout the patient's visit. The successful candidate will be part of a team known for its collaborative environment and welcoming demeanor.
