Infection Prevention Specialist

Description Infection Prevention Specialist at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is FT and will work 10‑hour, Day shifts. The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control – Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (Facility Managed). 2 years of healthcare experience; 4 years preferred. 2 years of Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience; 4 years preferred. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. Why Join Providence?
