We are rapidly growing and are looking for talented individuals to join our team!Job SummaryThe Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in building, installing, and repairing structures, frameworks, and fixtures. This individual will have experience in both rough and finished carpentry, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and work efficiently with a range of materials. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to collaborate with other tradesmen and project managers are essential for success in this role. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality construction projects and be part of a growing team in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.Duties/ ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, flooring, and drywall installationConstruct, install, and repair structures such as walls, partitions, and roofing systemsBuild and install custom cabinetry, windows, doors, and other wood-based componentsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and materials neededEnsure that the dimensions, angles, and placements of components are accurately followedMeasure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials using saws, drills, and other hand or power toolsInspect materials for defects and ensure that proper materials are used in each projectInstall and finish woodwork such as baseboards, trim, and moldingsApply finishing techniques such as sanding, staining, and painting to ensure a smooth and polished appearanceFollow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job siteWear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe and clean work environmentWork closely with other tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, laborers) and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standardsCommunicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and address any issuesAssist with site preparation, including measuring, marking, and laying out dimensions for construction projectsProvide support during inspections or when troubleshooting construction-related problemsPerform maintenance and repair work on existing structures, including fixing or replacing damaged woodwork, frames, and fittingsEnsure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and in accordance with building codes and specificationsInspect finished work to ensure accuracy, precision, and overall craftsmanshipMaintain, clean, and inspect carpentry tools and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and longevityNotify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions or issues that need addressingOther duties as assignedEducation/Certifications/LicensesEducation High School Diploma or GEDAssociate's Degree in carpentry or construction management is a plusCertifications OSHA 10 or ability to obtainLicenses Driver's LicenseExperience3-5 years of experience in carpentry including proficiency in various carpentry techniques (e.g., framing, finishing, cabinetry)Hands-on experience with a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry, such as saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, is essentialExperience in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings is critical for accurately executing carpentry projects according to specificationsKnowledge of local building codes and safety regulations is essentialExperience in ensuring that all work complies with legal and safety standards is a key requirementExperience in a physically demanding role is beneficial, as carpentry often requires lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditionsExperience working in a team environment on construction projects, collaborating with other tradespeople, and communicating effectively with supervisors and clientsRequired Skills/AbilitiesProficiency in various carpentry techniques, including framing, finishing, cabinetry, and drywall installationAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately execute projectsCompetence in using a range of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring equipmentStrong math skills for accurate measurements, calculations, and geometry necessary for cutting materials and constructing structuresMeticulous attention to detail to ensure precise workmanship and adherence to specifications and building codesAbility to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during construction projects, including material shortages, design discrepancies, or unexpected challenges on the job siteGood physical condition and stamina for performing manual labor, including lifting heavy materials, climbing, and standing for long periodsKnowledge of safety practices and regulations in construction environments to ensure a safe working atmosphere for oneself and othersStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and maintain productivity on the job siteEffective verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clientsAbility to work well as part of a team, coordinating efforts with other tradespeople and construction staff to ensure successful project completionFlexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, timelines, and work conditionsPhysical Demands/Working EnvironmentPhysical Demands Light to Medium Work.
