Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides basic nursing care to clients and provides aid, supervision, and protective oversight of clients during assigned shifts.

Major Responsibilities:

• Upholds and maintains the Company, mission, and values (called the Lightfully "Shining Commitments")
• Milieu management in collaboration with other on-site staff members
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of client behavior and presentation
• Transports clients to outside doctor's appointments when needed
• Provides one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis as directed by the nurse or clinical team and the client's plan of care
• Coordinates medical care for clients (including scheduling with the onsite psychiatrist and outside appointments)
• Works closely with the site-level psychiatrist to attend psychiatry sessions and assist in medication management for clients
• Performs and records basic biometrics for clients (e.g., blood pressure)
• Oversees client self-administration of medication and provides training to client care technicians in observation of self-administration of medications
• Upholds client confidentiality and maintains professional boundaries, demeanor, dress and interaction with clients, family members, visitors, and coworkers
• Works closely with the Program Manager, Director of Clinical Operations and VP of Nursing to ensure an environment of safety
• Performs other duties, as assigned

Specific Skills/Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

General Skills and Requirements:

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Able to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Complete First Aid and CPR Training (First Aid/CPR Certificate)
• Complete required health screening, TB clearance, Criminal Record Clearance

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of California
• Mental Health Experience; preferred

The pay range for this position is $28-$44/hr.
