MKE Full Time Auto Mechanic- $30hr

Role Purpose This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repair and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers and hydrant trucks. The incumbent will inspect and identify defective or broken parts, and perform repairs on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems, ensuring all work follows established procedures and protocols. Responsibilities Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and perform necessary repairs. Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain related records. Provide preventive care to equipment to keep aircraft services operating safely and efficiently. Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety and security policies. Hydrate electric equipment according to the hydration schedule. Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID). Perform accident inspections on involved equipment. Use a variety of tools and equipment as listed below. Valid U.S. driver’s license. Authorization to work in the United States. Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English. Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays. Comfortable working in all weather conditions. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport badges. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
