???? Kardio Hip Hop Dance Coach – Part-Time Youth Dance Instructor
⭐ Start as a Junior Coach — Grow Into a Lead & Senior Coach

Please note: this is a year-round position. If you can only work seasonally, this role isn't the right fit.

Kardio Hip Hop Dance is starting up this fall, and we're hiring energetic, positive, reliable dance coaches who love music, movement, and working with kids ages 3–6!

We're looking for someone with a dance background who has the personality and energy to make every class feel like a party! Experience teaching young children is a huge plus, but we'll train you on our curriculum, class structure, and age-appropriate approach.

Our coaches lead weekly dance classes at daycares, preschools, schools, and recreation centers , helping young dancers build confidence, coordination, rhythm, and basic dance skills while having TONS of fun.

Throughout the year, coaches may also help their dancers prepare for mini school performances and shows so families can see what they've been learning!

If you want a light, mostly-mornings schedule (5–10 hours/week) , lots of music, lots of dancing, and a job where you get paid to make kids smile — keep reading.

Our coaches typically teach 2–4 classes per morning , each about 30-40 minutes long. You're guaranteed pay for a minimum of 2 classes per morning.

????️ What the Schedule Looks Like

Every coach's schedule is a little different, but once your weekly classes are set, it stays very consistent. Most classes wrap up before noon. Afternoon classes exist but are less common.

A sample week might look like:

• Monday — School 1, 9:30am start, ~3 classes

• Tuesday — School 2, 9:30am start, ~2 classes

• Wednesday — School 3, 9:30am start, ~2–3 classes

• Thursday — School 4, 9:30am start, ~2 classes

• Friday — School 5, 9:30am start, ~2 classes

Sample only — your actual schedule may vary. Based on location, we try to keep coaches within approximately 30 minutes of where they reside.

???? Pay Structure — Transparent & Growing

We pay per class with guaranteed opportunities for raises as you grow. Classes are 25–30 minutes each.

• Junior Coach — $13/class (~$26/hr): Your first 6 months. You'll learn our Kardio Hip Hop Dance curriculum, class structure, and approach to working with young dancers. You'll do a lot of teaching on your own but with regular check ins from management.

• Lead Coach — $14/class (~$28/hr): Eligible after 6 months of strong performance. You'll run weekly classes independently with reliable communication, great energy, and strong classroom management. Once fully established, check ins become less regular.

• Senior Coach — $15/class (~$30/hr): Eligible after 12 months of consistent, high-quality coaching and successful evaluations. Senior Coaches may take the lead on larger classes, performances, special programming, and help train new Junior Coaches.

• Teach weekly Kardio Hip Hop Dance classes for children ages 3–6
  
  
• Lead fun, high-energy, age-appropriate dance activities

• Teach simple hip hop dance moves and choreography

• Help children develop rhythm, coordination, balance, confidence, and body awareness

• Follow our established curriculum while bringing your own personality and energy to each class

• Keep young dancers engaged through music, movement, games, and FUN

• Communicate professionally with school and recreation center staff

• Help prepare students for mini school shows and performances throughout the year
  
  
• Create a positive environment where every child feels comfortable dancing and expressing themselves

• Experienced in dance and comfortable with hip hop-style movement

• Able to learn and teach simple choreography

• Able to reliably travel between schools and recreation centers

• Looking for a flexible, part-time weekday schedule

Previous experience as a dance instructor, dancer, cheerleader, performer, preschool teacher, or youth coach is a big plus. Experience working with young children is preferred, but we'll provide training on our program and curriculum.

• Previous dance experience is required
  
  
• Must be comfortable teaching basic hip hop dance and choreography

• Must be great with kids ages 3–6

• Must be able to pass PA clearances (FBI fingerprint, Child Abuse, State Police)

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must be punctual and reliable

• Must be energetic, positive, outgoing, and coachable

• Must be available for consistent weekday classes

• Must be willing to participate in occasional mini performances/shows

• Must be looking for a year-round position

???? What Is Kardio Hip Hop Dance?

Kardio Hip Hop Dance is all about getting young kids moving, dancing, building confidence, and having FUN!

Our classes introduce children ages 3–6 to the basics of dance and hip hop through kid-friendly music, simple choreography, movement games, and high-energy activities.

Throughout the year, dancers also get opportunities to show off what they've learned through fun mini performances at their schools.

We're not looking for someone to run a super-serious dance studio class. We want someone who can walk into a room, turn on the music, bring BIG energy, and make a group of preschoolers excited to DANCE!
