This role owns marketing workflows, tools, and processes while managing a team responsible for coordinating day-to-day project delivery. The Marketing Project Team Lead serves as the strategic authority on how marketing work gets done, ensuring clarity, efficiency, accountability, and on-time delivery across all initiatives.The ideal candidate is a seasoned project management leader with strong people management skills, a process-driven mindset, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to scale marketing operations.ResponsibilitiesPeople & Team LeadershipManage and develop a team of Marketing Project Managers and the Traffic ManagerProvide coaching, performance feedback, workload balancing, and career development supportSet clear expectations and accountability for project intake, planning, execution, and deliveryFoster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvementProject Management OwnershipLead all marketing project management activities across campaigns, content, digital, events, product launches, and brand initiativesEnsure projects are scoped appropriately, prioritized effectively, and delivered on time and within agreed parametersResolve cross-functional delivery issues, project conflicts, and resource constraints that cannot be addressed by Project Managers or Traffic Management or escalate as appropriatePartner with marketing leadership to align project execution with strategic prioritiesOwn portfolio delivery performance, prioritization decisions, and escalation resolution across the marketing project portfolioProcess, Workflow & Tool OptimizationOwn workflow effectiveness and business usage of project management tools while partnering with Traffic Management on platform administrationIdentify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve intake, prioritization, resourcing, and deliveryDesign and implement process improvements that scale with the organizationDrive consistency in project planning, execution, and reporting across all marketing teamsEstablish and enforce project management standards, documentation, best practices, and governance requirements.Lead training, adoption, and compliance efforts for project management processes, workflows, and tools.Traffic & Resource ManagementOversee traffic management and capacity planning across the marketing teamEnsure work is routed, prioritized, and scheduled appropriately based on business need and team bandwidthPartner with marketing leaders to forecast resourcing needs and identify constraintsStakeholder Partnership & CommunicationAct as a liaison between marketing, creative, sales, product, and external partners on project executionFacilitate project intake, prioritization, and expectation-setting discussions with stakeholdersProvide clear, consistent visibility into project status, risks, and delivery timelinesPresent insights and recommendations to marketing leadershipPartner with stakeholders to manage project budgets, resource requirements, and delivery expectations.Reporting & Performance MeasurementDevelop and maintain reporting on project throughput, SLA performance, resource utilization, on-time delivery, and operational effectiveness.Own delivery performance across the marketing project portfolio, monitoring project health and identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.Use data and operational metrics to drive decision-making, prioritization, and continuous improvement.Communicate performance results, operational insights, and recommendations to marketing leadership.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Project Management, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)6+ years of experience in marketing project management, marketing operations, or a related discipline withing corporate marketing or agency2+ years of people management experienceProven experience leading complex, cross-functional marketing projectsExperience leading portfolio prioritization, capacity planning, and resource management within a marketing organizationDeep familiarity with marketing workflows across digital, content, creative, and campaign execution]Strong proficiency with project management and traffic management tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana, Workfront, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, or similarWorking ConditionsHybrid in office and at homeFast-paced environmentMulti-tasking requiredLocal travel only; some evening work (event-related)Job SummaryRequisition Number: MARKE009371Job Category: Project Mgmt - Technical Project \& ProgramSchedule: Full-Time
