JOB TITLE: Host REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Venue Management About Us. Rally Entertainment is a leisure and entertainment company focused on cultivating connection through pickleball, exceptional food and drink, and competitive socializing experiences. We offer a modern twist on pickleball with innovative technology designed to keep players engaged, entertained, and excited to come back for more. Starting with our flagship venue in Charlotte's Lower South End, Rally is reinventing recreation, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, hospitality-oriented individuals to join our front of house team! The Position. Hosts are responsible for welcoming guests to Rally and guiding them safely into and throughout the venue. As the guest's first impression, Hosts play a critical role in ensuring all guests experience Rally as a warm, welcoming, and fun-filled environment. Hosts greet guests with a genuine smile, answer their questions, and guide them on to the team member responsible for the next phase in the guest's experience at Rally. What You'll Do: Greet guests as they enter the venue with a smile and a friendly attitude. Maintain a pace sufficient to keep up with different levels of guest visits. Assist with general cleanliness of the reception desk, and guest service areas. Assist guests with any pickleball or service related questions. Answer the phone in a timely and friendly manner. Guide guests to seating areas and explain service protocols. Ensure a seamless hand-off of guests to captain or other appropriate team member. Assist guests with any in-venue retail purchases, including apparel and merchandise. Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area. Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures. Get along with others and be a team player. Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook. Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all venue areas, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces. Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels. While experience and hard skills are important, cultural fit is critical.
