The position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of school facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

• Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, replenishing supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials.
• Ensure classrooms, offices, and communal areas are tidy and presentable.
• Conduct routine checks on cleaning equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning after school events as needed.
• Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies or requests from school staff.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to cleaning processes.
Background & Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Onthejob training in cleaning procedures and equipment use.
• Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role preferred.
Qualifications:
• Basic language skills for communication with staff.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory management.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and products.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
Work Environment:
• Indoor school facility environment.
