We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team serving an adolescent population within a juvenile detention setting. The ideal candidate will possess experience in adolescent, pediatric, school nursing, public health, correctional/juvenile healthcare, and/or emergency nursing and demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and health assessments for juvenile residents.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient health status and responses to treatment.
• Respond to urgent and emergency medical situations as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical providers, counselors, educators, and facility staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and nursing standards.
• Promote health education, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives for residents.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in adolescent, pediatric, school health, public health, correctional/juvenile, and/or emergency nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic documentation systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and/or WebEx for virtual meetings and communication.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a secure healthcare environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with at-risk youth or adolescent populations.
• Knowledge of behavioral health and crisis intervention principles.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
