Job Opportunity

Position: Vascular/PICC IV Therapy RN

This position requires a seasoned travel nurse with experience in vascular access and PICC line placement. The role involves floating between units as needed, performing essential nursing duties, including sterile dressing changes, peripheral IV placement, and troubleshooting vascular access. The workload includes the use of ultrasound for guided IV placements with a moderate number of PICC and midline placements daily.

Shift Information

• Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Work Schedule

• Weekends: Yes, sometimes more than every other weekend.
• On-Call: No.
• Block schedules are not required.

Facility Information

• Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Staffed Beds: 418
• Charting System: Epic

Special Requirements

• Must possess travel experience.
• Must be a qualified vascular access nurse.
• Ability to float to other units based on skill sets is necessary.
• A personal vehicle is required for transportation to different facility locations, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent.

Patient Care Information

• Expected Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Special Equipment: BARD PICCs preferred.
• Team Structure: 3 clinicians during day shifts; only 1 clinician at night.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Charting experience in the Epic system is required.
• Travel experience is mandatory.
