Associate - Business Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate for its Business Litigation team in New York, NY or Boston, MA. This hybrid role involves engaging in sophisticated commercial disputes and representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as mediation and arbitration proceedings. Duties Represent clients in courtroom and mediation/arbitration proceedings. Take and defend depositions. Research factual and legal issues and collaborate on strategies. Draft memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and briefs. Examine records and transactions underlying business disputes. Collaborate with colleagues across departments for comprehensive legal support. Requirements Admission to New York or Massachusetts bar (required). Admission to Connecticut bar (preferred). 3+ years of experience in business litigation. Federal or state judicial clerkship experience (preferred). Education Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school (required). Certifications Admission to relevant state bar(s). Skills Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb and analyze new information. High level of professionalism, conscientiousness, and responsibility. Positive, flexible, and cooperative attitude.
