Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician
Pay Rate: $20/hour (Weekly Pay)
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

• Every other weekend required

• Days off provided before and after weekend shifts

• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required

Job Description

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacy operations by preparing prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. This includes picking, labeling, scanning, and packaging medications efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision

• Pick medications from shelves and storage areas

• Label and scan prescriptions to ensure accuracy

• Prepare finished prescriptions for pharmacist verification

• Assist with processing returned medications, including recycling and disposal per procedures

• Support prepacking of frequently ordered medications during low-volume times

• Package materials and products manually

• Apply labels to blister cards and scan for accuracy checks

• Notify pharmacist of any scanning issues or discrepancies

• Maintain clean and organized workstations and restock supplies as needed

• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA

• Adhere to company policies on safety, attendance, and dress code

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to work at a moderate pace in a fast-moving environment

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Previous pharmacy technician experience

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout the day

• May stand or sit for 7–10 hours per shift

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

• Good manual dexterity for handling equipment and packaging

• Strong visual acuity (close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment)

• Ability to hear normal conversational sounds

• May be required to work extended hours as needed
