Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) - 2026-27 School Year

Position requires a Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, eligibility to begin the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under ASHA supervision, and eligibility for state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. A school district in Syracuse, NY is seeking a motivated Speech‑Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP‑CF) for the upcoming school year. Position Overview Full-time, Monday–Friday (35–40 hours/week) Onsite role serving PreK–12 students across assigned buildings CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP Full school-year contract with potential for renewal Caseload Details Average caseload: 40–60 students (varies by school assignment) Students with mild to moderate communication needs Areas of service include: Articulation & phonological disorders Receptive/expressive language delays Social/pragmatic communication needs Fluency and voice disorders Likely exposure to: Autism spectrum disorders AAC/assistive communication devices Multilingual and economically diverse populations Responsibilities: Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations Develop and implement IEP goals Provide direct therapy (individual and small group) Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state requirements New York State Requirements (SLP‑CF) Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program Eligibility for Initial Teaching Certification (Speech and Language Disabilities) through the New York State Education Department Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) year under a licensed SLP Licensure through the New York State Office of the Professions Passing the Praxis exam typically required for certification/licensure Required fingerprinting and school clearance process What We’re Looking For Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, diverse school setting Passion for supporting students with varied communication needsCommitment to completing Clinical Fellowship requirements Compensation for this position ranges from $36.70 to $56.70.
