Position Summary
The Hotel Sales Lead / Front Desk Associate is a demanding position responsible for supporting hotel revenue growth through proactive sales efforts while also delivering exceptional guest service at the front desk. This position will work three (3) days per week in Front Desk Operations and two (2) days per week focused on Sales and Business Development activities.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, sales-driven, and passionate about hospitality. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and the ability to generate new business opportunities for extended stay and group segments.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Operations (3 Days Per Week)
- Provide exceptional guest service during check-in, check-out, and throughout the guest stay
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and problem resolution professionally and efficiently
- Maintain brand standards and ensure guest satisfaction scores remain high
- Support daily hotel operations, including communication between departments
- Lead and motivate front desk team members to identify and capture sales opportunities
- Ensure front desk team submits a minimum of 15 qualified lead forms per week
Sales & Business Development (2 Days Per Week)
- Prospect and develop new Extended Stay Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) accounts and group business opportunities
- Conduct a minimum of 20 cold calls per week to potential clients and business partners
- Generate new leads through networking, community outreach, business visits, and relationship building
- Follow all company procedures related to group contracts and LNR agreements
- Maintain accurate sales activity records, lead tracking, and account follow-up
- Coordinate with hotel leadership to achieve revenue and occupancy goals
- Participate in local sales initiatives and community events as needed
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or hospitality experience preferred
- Sales or business development experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet weekly sales activity quotas
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls and prospecting new business
- Proficient with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
Performance Expectations
- Minimum of 20 cold calls completed weekly
- Prospect new extended stay LNR accounts and group business opportunities consistently
- Ensure front desk team achieves 15 lead forms submitted weekly
- Follow all company sales contract procedures accurately and timely
- Contribute to hotel revenue growth and guest satisfaction goals
- Submit weekly sales reports every Friday
