MD500 Utility Pilot - Powerline Construction

Hillsboro Aviation is seeking experienced MD500 series pilots for Utility/Powerline contracts. This is a full-time position with benefit package.

Flying in the wire environment in support of power line construction, performing external load and other specialized operations:

• Class A Skid/Platform
• Class B Cargo
• Class B Human External Cargo (HEC)
• Class C Side-Pull

Adhere to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and safety procedures to ensure safe and compliant flight operations.

FAA commercial or ATP Helicopter

Current 2nd or 1st class medical certificate

2000 hours as pilot in command (PIC) in helicopters

250 hours of vertical reference long line experience

100 hours as PIC conducting precision long line operations

50 hours PIC in make and model (MD 500 series)

Strong communication and decision-making skills

Knowledge of the electrical hazards and hands on work in the wire environment

Preferred candidates have additional airframe experience in AS350, B407 and / or B205.
