G.P De Silva Spices Imports, blends, packages, and warehouses specialty spices for a wide variety of retail and food service customers. Base pay $14.00/hr - $14.00/hr Responsibilities Responsible for the physical movement of outbound shipments to G.P De Silva Spice Company customers. Plan, coordinate and maintain economical and efficient freight services. Identify and implement opportunities to drive cost and enhance service. Ensure compliance with all freight standards. Make deliveries to customer sites while adhering to all safety procedures. Load inventory on truck and unload at customer sites. Perform routine inspections of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety. Plan routes to and from customers' businesses and adjust for traffic or construction. Ensure manifests are complete and accurate; deliver merchandise and contact customers if not present. Collect payments from customers and pull orders to match manifests. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide assistance to resolve customer issues. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. Minimum Requirement Class C license to operate Box Truck. Forklift Certification. Clean driving record with no moving violations. Experience working at a food company strongly preferred. Team player with strong communication skills. Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish is a must.
