Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a QC Scientist I, where you will engage in bench testing and provide analytical support for the development and release of pharmaceutical products. You will be trained in both the Oral Dose Solids and Nasals departments, ensuring comprehensive expertise in our processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample preparation, wet chemistry, standard weighing, and dilutions.
• Undergo training on HPLC and GC over time.
• Conduct chemical and physical analyses to support the development of manufacturable pharmaceutical products.
• Provide analytical support for the release of registration materials for regulatory submissions.
• Assist in analytical method validation and transfer activities.
• Perform analytical tasks in support of product development, registration lot release, and regulatory submission activities.
• Complete activities within assigned timelines, complying with cGXP's and company practices.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, and company practices accurately and timely, maintaining data integrity.
• Identify challenges in analytical methods and support troubleshooting activities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in dilutions, sample preparation, biochemistry, quality control, and chemistry.
• Bachelor's degree in Science Field is required.
• Strong laboratory experience, preferably outside of academia.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with supervision, using scientific judgment and professional competency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prefer candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Consideration for candidates with degrees in Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Environmental Science, Pharmaceutical Science, with strong chemistry lab experience.

Work Environment

This role offers a fast-paced environment working primarily in the quality group, with occasional duties in the manufacturing area. The position operates on a flexible 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of working four 10-hour days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
