Program details Occupation type: Recognized training occupation Type of training: Dual training in industry, regulated by the training ordinance Duration of training: 3.5 years (may be shortened to 3 years) Working hours: 36 working hours per week Learning locations: Training company and vocational school (dual training) Your duties As a mechatronics technician... you build complex mechatronic systems, e.g. robots for industrial production, from mechanical, electrical and electronic components. You manufacture the individual components and assemble them into systems and plants. You commission the finished systems, program them or install the associated software. In doing so, you follow circuit diagrams and design drawings and carefully test the systems before handing them over to the customer. You also maintain and repair mechatronic systems.
