Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – EDDA – Dental Assistant Location: Cincinnati Dental Services, Milford, Meijer. Join a 6‑person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community. We are looking for a strong team player. Work Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:4 AM–5 PM. Responsibilities Support the clinical treatment care of patients and provide comprehensive post‑operative dental procedures. Sustain patient comfort, soothe upset patients, and educate them on dental procedures. Manage clinical supplies, maintain lab equipment, and take & develop X‑rays. Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies. Work efficiently to maintain the supported dentist’s schedule and adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies. Additional Responsibilities Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs. Improve clinical skills through participation in continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental. Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies (additional duty). Requirements Positive and outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills. Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Ability to build rapport with patients. Good manual dexterity. Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs. Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight. Dental assisting school certificate is a plus. Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus.
