POSITION OVERVIEW:
Manager of social services department with bachelor social worker, case manager, and food benefits coordinator. This role will involve guidance on department policies, increasing client access to services, maintain client data portal, increase outreach in the upper Montgomery County region, participate on various multi-agency workgroups, and update materials such as promotional flyers and referral forms.  Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.  Schedule may include occasional evening and weekend hours.

 
 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

 
Staff Supervision and Leadership (Approx. 60%):
Ø  Daily engagement of case work activities to ensure clients receive timely community referrals
Ø  Oversight of food benefits data to meet contract guidelines
Ø  Plan, implement, and coordinate department programs and workflow
Ø  Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, approve time and 
Ø  Weekly staff meetings to review caseloads and outreach goals
Ø  Submit monthly and quarterly reports
Ø  Provide performance reviews and ongoing coaching for staff success
Ø  Support department and agency special events

 
Administrative and Collaborative Duties (Approx. 30%):
Ø  Collaborate with agency departments to service clients in a wholistic capacity
Ø  Give input to grants and proposals for agency funding applications 
Ø  Contribute financial assessments to assist with annual budget determinations
Ø  Partner with various government and community-based organizations for service coordination

 
Direct Services to Clients (Approx. 10%):
Ø  Provide case management services to clients in need of resources
Ø  Assist with higher level clinical cases
Ø  Expand knowledge base of state and local programs and applications
Ø  Maintain organized resources database system

 

 
REQUIREMENTS:
Ø  Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or other related social services field 
Ø  Minimum 5-7 years of post-degree employment experience
Ø  Macro concentration in administrative and/or supervisory experience expected
Ø  Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
