Position Overview:
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking dedicated Housekeeping Workers to join our Environmental Services team. If you take pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, we want to hear from you!
Compensation & Schedule:
- $25.61/hr. | Full-Time
- Shifts Available: Night Shift
- Must be available to work alternate weekends & holidays
- Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of assigned facility areas
- Perform various cleaning tasks, including mopping, buffing floors, sanitizing rooms, and waste disposal
- Properly clean, store, and handle equipment and chemicals
- Follow infection control protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents for each task
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services (healthcare setting preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules
- Team player with good communication skills
- Must be available for alternate weekends & holidays
- Immediate opportunities available
