Key Personnel is seeking a Surgical Orderly to join a busy hospital in the Tulsa, OK area.

Surgical Orderly Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (must be able to report to the hospital within 30 min if on-call)

Surgical Orderly Payrate: $15-$18/hr

Surgical Orderly Summary:

The Surgical Orderly supports the surgical team by ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient operating room environment. This role assists with patient transport, room turnover, equipment handling, and general support before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Surgical Orderly Responsibilities:

• Transport patients to and from the operating room, PACU, and inpatient units in a safe and timely manner
• Assist with positioning patients on the operating table under the direction of clinical staff
• Prepare operating rooms by setting up equipment, supplies, and furniture prior to procedures
• Clean and turn over operating rooms between cases according to infection control standards
• Assist with transporting specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed
• Stock and maintain surgical supplies and equipment
• Respond promptly to calls from surgical staff and provide support as needed
• Follow all hospital policies, safety regulations, and HIPAA guidelines
• Assist with basic non-clinical tasks to support surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff

Surgical Orderly Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous hospital, surgical services, or patient care experience preferred
• Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
