Job Summary

A local banking team in Rocklin, CA is seeking a customer-focused Banker / Client Service Representative to support branch customers with everyday banking needs, account services, and relationship-based financial solutions. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for someone with teller or branch banking experience who enjoys helping customers, building trust, and delivering accurate, professional service.

This role offers the opportunity to grow within a supportive branch environment, with potential placement at the CSR II, CSR III, or Senior CSR level based on experience. The team values strong customer relationships, positive collaboration, dependable service, and a professional approach to compliance and banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Open and maintain consumer and business bank accounts while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Assist customers with checking accounts, savings accounts, CDs, IRAs, and other banking services based on experience level.
- Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling and recordkeeping standards.
- Build customer relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services.
- Provide in-person and phone support to resolve customer questions, concerns, and account service requests.
- Follow banking policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and maintain consumer and business banking relationships.
- Process teller transactions and support daily branch operations.
- Recommend banking products and services based on customer needs.
- Maintain compliance with banking regulations, policies, and documentation requirements.

- Previous banking teller experience required, typically 1 to 3+ years depending on position level.
- Experience opening consumer accounts required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.
- Ability to handle confidential customer information with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability in a regulated banking environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Business account opening experience, especially for higher-level CSR roles.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
- Experience supporting CDs, IRAs, and a broader range of retail banking products.
