Industry leading manufacturing organization is searching for a promotable (groomed for advancement opportunities) Civil Engineer in the Duluth,MN area.

This roles comes with a very good salary commensurate with experience with a base salary ranging from $100k to $130k plus a bonus that can range from 15% to 30% based upon company performance. Relocation assistance is also available.

responsibilities:
The Civil Engineer is a professional who organizes, plans and executes tailings of basin projects while working within constraints like budgets and schedules. The Civil Engineer prepares plans and direction for the site operational teams, defines and communicates project direction and goals, communicates progress with management and stakeholders and sees the greater tailings basin project through operations to it closure.

• Lead geotechnical planning and design for large-scale earthwork structures and tailings containment systems.

• Coordinate short- and long-range disposal plans, providing clear direction to site operational teams and stakeholders.

• Design and implement geotechnical monitoring programs (inclinometers, piezometers, seepage) and contribute to dam safety technical guidelines.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and participate in operational performance audits for all tailings infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.

• Registered PE (Professional Engineer) or EIT working toward licensure.

• Proven understanding of tailings operations, water balance, dam construction, and geotechnical principles.

• Proficient in CAD and familiar with surveying/mapping technologies (e.g., drones).

Preferred:

• 2-5 years of professional experience in Geotechnical Engineering or Hydrogeology
