CNC Machinist

Job Title: Lathe Machinist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist who is proficient in setting up and operating multiple machines, with the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of G-code and be capable of inspecting parts for accuracy using various measurement tools.
Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Set up and run multiple machines efficiently.
• Read and understand G-code for machine operations.
• Inspect parts for accuracy using micrometers or calipers.
• Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience in setting up and operating multiple machines.
• Strong math skills, including basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to use Windows Excel.
• Good working knowledge of geometrical dimension and tolerance, with capability to work in both Metric and English units.
• Ability to make minor edits of CNC code at the machine.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs without assistance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CNC Programming experience is a plus.
• 5-axis setup experience is desirable.
• Experience in machine maintenance is advantageous.
• Technical Certification in Precision Machining or MSSC-CPT certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three or more years of relevant experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PENSACOLA, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
