Job Description
TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a Locum Tenens Oral Surgeon for a correctional medicine opportunity in Butner, North Carolina. This role offers a flexible schedule within a structured correctional healthcare environment focused on consultative and procedural oral surgery care.

Position Details

Once onboarded, the provider will collaborate with the Scheduler by submitting their availability on an ongoing basis. Scheduling is a coordinated effort between the provider, the Onsite team, and the agency to ensure appropriate coverage and alignment with clinic needs.

Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients requiring oral and maxillofacial surgical care
Perform oral surgery procedures within scope of practice including extractions and related surgical interventions
Assess dental infections, impacted teeth, oral lesions, and facial pain conditions
Develop treatment plans and coordinate referrals for advanced surgical care when necessary
Provide pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and follow-up care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements
DDS or DMD required
Completion of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency required
Active North Carolina dental license required/preferred based on facility requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery preferred
Ability to work independently in a correctional medicine environment
