Senior Staff Accountant

Job Details Job Location: 6125 COMMERCE CT. - MASON, OH 45040 Position Type: Full Time General Purpose of Position:Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to shared services, GL reconciliations and monthly closing. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Maintain Fixed Assets in Sage and deprecation reporting Prepare journal entries as necessary GL balance sheet reconciliations Monthly budget variance reporting Assist in the preparation of annual budgets Assist Business Development with Project costing Administer fixed assets/depreciation Prepare items for tax return and Research & Development Tax Credit Inventory Accounting Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of JD Edwards experience a plus Knowledge of Sage experience a plus Working knowledge of GAAP concepts Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities (both verbal and written) Exceptional organization and time management skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.) Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance or equivalent experience (required) 3+ years accounting experience (required) Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to sit, talk, see, and hear. Occasionally required to walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must use hands and fingers to operate computer. Must have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. The work environment is indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
