Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar is a Persian-Mediterranean restaurant in White Plains, recognized with a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and a "Very Good" rating from The New York Times. Built on the unwritten Tehran recipes of chef-owner Reza Parhizkaran's mother, Iran, who cooks by instinct. Our philosophy is simple: hospitality is about warmth and belonging.
About the Role
As a Bartender, you'll deliver an exceptional guest experience through strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and spirits, and a real passion for hospitality. We're looking for someone who wants to learn and grow with our beverage program. Weekend and holiday availability is a must. Please review our menu online before applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages to Shiraz Kitchen's standards.
- Engage with guests, answer drink-menu questions, and make recommendations.
- Participate in menu trainings and tastings, and pass menu tests to stay current.
- Maintain a clean, organized bar per health and safety standards.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Stock and replenish bar inventory, and assist with inventory management.
- Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior bartending experience in a high-end or high-volume restaurant or bar.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
- Composure and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol Certification preferred.
- Availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Transparency: $17.00/hour ($11.35/hour base + tips). Tips range from $200–$250 per day.
