The Carriages of Bloomington is growing our TEAM and we are looking for exceptional individuals to fill our PRN Dayshift RN/LPN position (7a-7p/6a-6p). This does include weekends and various weekdays. We take pride in providing our Residents with quality care, sensitivity, and kindness while respecting their independence.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-quality, holistic nursing care in accordance with nursing practice of professional nursing. You will lead licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Working with Memory Care is a must.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.

• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.

• Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc.

• Administer injections, prescribed medications, etc.

• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.

• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Proven experience as licensed nurse.

• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.

• Familiarity with assisted living procedures.

• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.

• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.

• Knowledge of Point Click Care.

• Good Physical condition and stamina.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Compassionate and able to handle stress.
