Robot Service Technician – Self-Driving Delivery Robots
Oxford, MS | Full-time Contract | $25–$28/hr

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle industry, is looking for a hands-on, versatile Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, and repair of self-driving delivery robots. This is a great fit for someone who thrives on variety — one day you're assembling harnesses and installing sensors, the next you're diagnosing a mechanical issue in the field. If you have a background in automotive or manufacturing and enjoy solving problems with your hands, this role offers exciting exposure to cutting-edge robotics as our client expands operations to a new location at the University of Mississippi.

What You'll Do

Production & Assembly

• Assemble harnesses, cables, and connectors for self-driving delivery robots
• Install and replace sensors (LiDAR, cameras, ultrasonic sensors)

Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the robot fleet
• Diagnose breakdowns, investigate incidents, and execute service campaigns
• Test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, including suspensions and batteries

Field Support

• Travel between local locations to provide onsite support as needed
• Handle rapid prototyping, testing, and inventory management

R&D Support

• Assist in R&D experiments and contribute to new project development

What You Bring

• Experience with mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment
• Proficiency assembling/disassembling products, installing custom electronic modules, and working with AC/DC currents
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings
• Soldering skills (a plus)
• Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR (last 12 months); no CDL required
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, logical approach to problem-solving
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• A creative, adaptable mindset for tackling diverse challenges

Preferred

• Background in automotive plants, dealership service, or similar environments
• Advanced computer literacy
