As a Carpenter at Grand Geneva, you will perform daily and preventive maintenance to keep hotel buildings and equipment in optimal condition with minimal downtime, while supporting continuous improvement of engineering services for guests and associates under the direction of the Director of Resort Maintenance. Perform daily shift reports; document all calls in the Carpenter log. Follow all OSHA standards. Maintain interior and exterior of hotel building(s). Respond to guest calls and associate requests in a timely manner. Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer, and Water. Repair and/or maintain the following: All building and FF&E Fire Alarm and Life Safety equipment Attend all required Engineering Department and other meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. What do you bring to the role? High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous carpentry experience required. Wood refinishing experience required. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action, and implement solutions. Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools. Must be service‑oriented and have the ability to take direction. Responds to situations as they arise with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain composure and remain pleasant under high‑pressure situations. Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. What’s in it for you?
