Data Engineer

Surety Systems, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer (ETL) to support ongoing client projects as the work continues after the client’s move to Snowflake . You will join a larger data engineering team and focus on delivering reliable data work across multiple initiatives, with an emphasis on strong SQL execution. This hybrid role is based in Richmond, Virginia and includes a schedule of in‑office time every other week, Tuesday through Friday. The assignment is expected to run for at least a year, with a strong likelihood of additional extensions. Role summary Support ongoing projects as part of the larger data engineering team following the client’s transition to Snowflake Work across various client projects Create complex SQL queries quickly and accurately Requirements US Citizen or Green Card Holder 5+ years of Data Engineer experience 5+ years of SQL experience, including both Standard SQL and Oracle SQL 4+ years of ETL tool experience with Talend , Informatica , and dbt Must be able to pass a formal Background & Credit Check Richmond, VA 23219 (Required) Technologies Snowflake SQL and Oracle SQL ETL Talend , Informatica , dbt Python Denodo Location, schedule, and pay Location: Hybrid remote in Richmond, VA 23219 In-office cadence: Every other week, Tuesday through Friday Pay: USD 45–60 per hour Assignment length: Expected to last at least a year, with a strong probability of additional extension(s) Preferred/required work location: Richmond, VA 23219.
