Phlebotomist - Full Time Evenings

Job Responsibilities Technical/Phlebotomy – Perform approved specimen collection procedures, point‑of‑care testing services and processing. Provide education and support to patients and families concerning tests and specimen acquisition. Assist in special projects, evaluations, experiments or research. Customer Service – Act as patient advocate and meet patient/family needs. Provide information regarding patients admitted to, referred to/from, transferred to/from, or discharged from the home unit. Offer emotional support as needed. Communicate courteously and respectfully, attend promptly to requests and concerns. Collaboration – Work cooperatively with others to achieve goals. Adjust style and efforts to complement others, develop positive working relationships, share knowledge and provide support for team members. Contribute to a positive professional work environment. Professional Development – Maintain currency in the field through continuing education, conferences, meetings, in‑services, networking, literature, and/or seminars. Attend mandatory CCHMC training sessions. Apply newly acquired knowledge and skills to one’s own work and the organization. Take responsibility for personal growth and may participate in professional committees. Compliance – Understand and comply with applicable policies, guidelines, regulations and accreditation standards. Document compliance, maintain standards and code of ethics, and ensure work areas are organized and safe for employees, patients and families. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of Phlebotomy or other relevant clinical lab specimen collection experience, or completion of a Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program. Preferred: Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification. Position Details Primary Location: Burnet Campus Schedule: Full time, Evening (United States). Shift: 12pm–8:30pm, rotating every third weekend 3pm–11:30pm and on holidays. Employee Status: Regular FTE Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range (Annualized): $18.16 – $22.25 per hour.
