Corporate Engagement Manager - Climate Intelligence Program

Position Overview RMI is seeking an Engagement Manager to support the growth and impact of its Climate Intelligence Program, focusing on supply chain decarbonization, Scope3 emissions reduction, carbon markets, and environmental attribute market solutions. The Engagement Manager will cultivate relationships with corporations, NGOs, and ecosystem stakeholders, accelerating decarbonization through data-driven climate strategies and market-based solutions. Key Responsibilities Market Strategy & Climate Intelligence Positioning (25%) Partner with Climate Intelligence leadership to refine market strategy and identify growth opportunities across supply chain decarbonization, Scope3 emissions management, carbon markets, and climate intelligence services. Monitor emerging trends in corporate climate commitments, supplier engagement, carbon accounting standards, environmental attribute markets, and climate disclosure requirements. Help define and communicate RMI's value proposition across climate intelligence offerings, develop target account strategies and stakeholder engagement plans for priority sectors, and provide market intelligence to inform program strategy and product development. Business Development & Strategic Relationship Management (30%) Support business development for Climate Intelligence consulting and advisory services. Identify and cultivate prospective clients, partners, and funders across corporate supply chains, carbon markets, sustainability functions, and climate-focused ecosystems. Lead or support client meetings, workshops, and stakeholder convenings, collaborating with RMI programs and Strategic Engagement teams to identify cross‑cutting opportunities and coordinate relationship management. Advance strategic partnerships that enhance programmatic impact and earned revenue objectives. Client Engagement & Consulting Delivery (30%) Manage relationships and client engagements in supply chain decarbonization, Scope3 reduction strategies, supplier engagement programs, and carbon markets. Oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, client communications, and stakeholder alignment. Support proposal development, project scoping, pricing, contracting, and internal review processes. Ensure continuity between business development and delivery, maintain strong client relationships, and identify opportunities to expand engagement scope. Pipeline Management & Program Growth (15%) Maintain visibility into business development and collaboration pipelines, support forecasting, prioritization, and resource planning. Track opportunities through Salesforce and other systems, develop pipeline and performance updates for leadership, and contribute to development of repeatable methodologies, engagement models, and market‑facing offerings. Qualifications Candidate must have: 5+ years in management consulting, sustainability consulting, climate strategy, business development, corporate sustainability, supply chain sustainability, or related fields. Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and consulting engagements. General understanding of corporate climate action, Scope3 emissions, supply chain decarbonization, carbon accounting, or environmental attribute markets. Experience developing proposals, scopes of work, and revenue‑generating client engagements. Ability to translate technical climate and sustainability concepts into compelling client solutions. Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including technical experts, operations, finance, legal, and executive stakeholders. Strong project and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level client engagement and presentation experience. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred. This role can be based from anywhere in the continental United States. Travel for occasional in‑person meetings is required. Compensation Salary range: $99,700–$122,881. Annual bonus target: 10% of base salary. Additional merit‑based increases tied to individual and organizational performance.
