Location and Job Details Job Title: Pashtu/Urdu Linguist (CAT II and CAT III) Location: Outside Continental United States - , NC 28301 US (Primary) Job Type: Regular, Full-time Category: Job Description Responsibilities Read, write, listen and speak with clear and concise grammar and pronunciation in the required foreign language(s) and English. Provide idiomatic translations following correct sentence structure in the required foreign language and English. Conduct consecutive, accurate translations and interpretations of on-going conversations and activities. Be ready, willing and able to adapt day-to-day work/tasks as mission requirements at the assigned location may be fluid with movement and change. Operate in extreme, austere, harsh conditions and be prepared for work outside and inside depending on mission requirements; living conditions may be austere and harsh. May be requested to operate a Government-furnished vehicle in support of operations. All Linguists may be required to go on missions (outside the wire) and be physically fit to perform these duties. Possess typing ability, basic computer skills, and familiarity with Windows, MS Word and MS Excel. Conform to local culture and customs and function effectively under high pressure and stress. Be available to work any hours and any days depending on mission requirements. Qualifications Languages Required: Pashtu and Urdu Clearance: Active - Secret or Top Secret Successful completion of required language evaluations for the position, as applicable U.S. citizen Phased Hiring Process: pass/obtain/maintain successful results on reference, criminal and credit screening; vetting by client(s) as applicable; appropriate country clearance/visa as applicable; be qualified per USCENTCOM requirements to deploy as a contractor accompanying the force Ability to deploy and be assigned to overseas locations; willingness to undergo required vetting and clearances Phased Hiring Process Successful reference, criminal and credit screening results U.S. citizen, active Secret or Top Secret level personnel security clearance Passing of evaluations for the required language for the position you’ve applied for, as applicable Vetting by our client(s), as applicable Qualified per USCENTCOM requirements to deploy as a contractor accompanying the force Appropriate country clearance/visa, as applicable or required Additional Information Living conditions and working environment may be austere and harsh.
