Tyler Coupling is located in Marshfield, MO. This position consists of compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. This position is a hands-on environmental role requiring routine field work, waste management activities, environmental inspections, sampling, and operation of material handling equipment, in addition to environmental recordkeeping and administrative support functions.

 

 

Job Description

  1. 1st Responsibility – Ensuring personal safety and the safety of team members.
  2. Wears appropriate PPE, which may include hearing protection, foot, hand, head and eye protection.
  3. Proactively promotes The McWane Way principles.
  4. Serve as the primary coordinator for hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection, storage, labeling, inspection, and disposal activities.
  5. Perform routine inspections of waste accumulation areas, container storage locations, outdoor environmental areas, and spill prevention equipment.
  6. Assist production and maintenance personnel with proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste and environmentally regulated materials.
  7. Conducts site investigations, prepares inspection reports, and facilitates activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and procedures.
  8. Maintain environmental storage areas in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.
  9. Assist with spill prevention, spill response, and cleanup activities as directed.
  10. Report environmental incidents, spills, unsafe conditions, and compliance concerns promptly to appropriate supervision and the Environmental Manager.
  11. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, as authorized, to transport waste containers, environmental materials, spill response equipment, and other regulated materials throughout the facility.
  12. Perform environmental sampling activities, including collection of wastewater, waste, and other environmental samples as required. Work may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, dust, mud, water, waste materials, and other industrial environments.
  13. Collect environmental data and assist with monitoring, sampling, and compliance activities.
  14. Provide administrative support for environmental compliance programs by organizing, and updating, records and documentation associated with air, water, waste, and chemical management activities.
  15. Assist the Environmental Manager in preparing environmental reports, permit-related documentation, and compliance records.
  16. Identify and communicate potential environmental compliance concerns to supervision and the Environmental Manager.
  17. Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and chemical inventory records to support environmental aspect identification, environmental compliance evaluations, waste characterization, and environmental information management.
  18. Enter, maintain, and organize data within environmental management software systems, including Cority, EMS, EDM, and SharePoint.
  19. Assist with tracking environmental action items, inspections, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  20. Assist with environmental audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments.
  21. Assist in maintaining the Environmental Management System.
  22. Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  23. Reads, follows, and develops the Environmental Work Instructions.
  24. Reports any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
  25. Works with plant supervisors to direct hourly employees in completing environmentally related job duties properly.
  26. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and waste management practices.
  2. Understanding of hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and disposal procedures.
  3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  4. Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and environmental compliance assessments.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Cority (preferred).
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.+
  9. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health & Safety, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
  10. Experience with EPA, OSHA, RCRA, SPCC, Stormwater, Wastewater, and Air Compliance Programs. 
  11. Experience supporting Environmental Management Systems and ISO 14001 programs.
  12. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
