Electrician

MalaceHR is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support commercial and industrial facilities by performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical systems, equipment, and lighting operate safely and efficiently while supporting general facility maintenance operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with electrical systems up to 600 volts, the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and repair control panels, electric motors, and electrical equipment.

• Diagnose and repair deficiencies in electrical wiring, motors, and related systems.

• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical controls and motor control centers (MCCs).

• Bend and install rigid and PVC conduit.

• Pull electrical cable and wiring through conduit systems.

• Utilize voltage and amperage measuring devices to diagnose electrical issues.

• Complete work orders related to repairs, maintenance, and installation of lighting and power circuits in a professional and timely manner.

• Maintain and service switchgear, generators, lighting systems, and other electrical infrastructure.

• Assist with general facility maintenance and preventative maintenance activities including HVAC and refrigeration equipment as needed.

• Travel between facilities to assist with daily maintenance operations when required.

• Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls when necessary.

• Coordinate with and support outside contractors and vendors performing work on-site.

• Work collaboratively with other on-site personnel including security, janitorial, and food service teams.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple work orders efficiently.

• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 600 volts.

• Experience with lockout/tagout procedures and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

• Ability to use computer-based systems or programs that interface with machinery and equipment.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Active Journeyman Electrician License required.

• 5–8+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience required (10+ years preferred).

• Valid driver’s license required.
