Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Location: Grand Rapids, MI. This role is designed as an on-site opportunity, with the broader team offering flexibility based on individual and team needs, client service, and workload effectiveness.

Note: An active Michigan bar license and 2+ years of directly relevant corporate law experience are must-have qualifications for this role.

Job Description

• Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and business transactions.
\n
• Support and lead mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, capital restructuring, and related transactions.
\n
• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements, contracts, and transaction documents.
\n
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining exceptional responsiveness and attention to detail.
\n
• Work closely with clients and attorneys across the firm to understand business objectives and deliver practical legal solutions.
\n
• Take increasing ownership of transactions, with first-chair transaction leadership strongly valued.
\n
• Provide thoughtful, commercially focused legal guidance that helps clients achieve their goals.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Active Michigan bar license required.
\n
• 2+ years of corporate law experience required.
\n
• Strong experience with general corporate matters, contract drafting and review, and M&A transactions.
\n
• Law firm experience preferred, ideally 3+ years.
\n
• First-chair transaction leadership experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Excellent academic credentials, judgment, communication, organization, and client-service skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail.
