About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 12-hour shifts, with on-call, as required Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Card, ACLS Must-Have: - Strong clinical judgment skills - Ability to assess patient needs - Effective communication skills Description: Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. Provide explanations and instructions to patients or responsible persons. Demonstrate the ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition. Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict through professional communication skills. Meet responsibilities related to patient care as outlined in Core Measures. Participate in continuing education to maintain and enhance skills. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
