We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. This position offers approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while delivering top-tier dental hygiene care. You will be instrumental in performing cleanings, patient assessments, and oral health education, supporting the dentist and contributing to outstanding patient experiences. Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and patient assessments across all age groups. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize dental imaging techniques (occlusal, panoramic, periapical, bitewing x-rays) to assist in diagnosis. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and dental office standards. Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, including four-handed dentistry support. Monitor patient vital signs and ensure comfort during treatments. Apply aseptic and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile work environment. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care strategies and clinical outcomes. Stay updated on latest advancements in general and pediatric dentistry practices. Requirements Dentrix Eaglesoft General Dentistry Infection Control License Licensed dental hygienist Open Dental Valid Dental Hygienist license. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols. Experience or training in chairside assisting and general dentistry procedures. Competency in medical imaging techniques and patient assessment. Skilled in using Eaglesoft and/or Dentrix dental practice management software. Strong communication skills for effective patient education and counseling. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and adhere to privacy regulations. Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting. Familiarity with medical coding and EMR systems.
