About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery – Central Texas**Start Date:** July 13, 2026**Location:** Austin, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 13-week seasonal contract, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, no on-call required, 4 weekend shifts per schedule period**Highlights:**- Level 4 designated maternal center caring for the most complex obstetric patients at any gestation, providing the highest level of maternal care in Texas- 22-bed unit (16 labor beds) with approximately 100 staff members including RNs and support personnel- Standard patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 for high-acuity cases- EMR systems include Cerner PowerChart and Meditech- Facility recognized as America's Best Maternity Hospital 2023 by Newsweek and holds Leapfrog Grade A rating- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, minimum 2 surgical techs, 1 unit clerk, and RN staff scheduled to census**Requirements:**- Active Texas RN license or compact state license eligible for Texas endorsement- Minimum experience with high-risk maternal patients required- Operating room circulating experience and triage experience required- Preferred: Greater than 5 years of Labor & Delivery experience- Must be able to multi-task, work at a fast pace, and adapt quickly to changing patient needs- Strong team orientation and collaborative approach to patient care**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a highly tenured unit with long-term leadership dedicated to supporting clinical excellence and staff development.
