Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Client Overview: Our client is a well-established organization supporting critical infrastructure and essential services across Florida. They are currently looking to add a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $125k - $140k DOE Position Overview: The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting will help oversee financial reporting and key accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting functions. This leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while providing oversight of technical accounting, regulatory accounting, forecasting, and rate case support. The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting will work closely with Finance leadership, executive stakeholders, external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory parties on complex financial matters and reporting requirements. This individual will also lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, strengthen internal controls and processes, and play an important role in supporting broader financial initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities of the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting: Oversee financial strategy and reporting initiatives: Partner with Finance leadership on forecasting, financial modeling, earnings and cash flow analysis, and other key financial initiatives. Support the preparation of executive, Board, and parent company reporting materials. Lead accounting and financial reporting: Manage key accounting and reporting functions, including month-end close, consolidations, journal entry review, financial statements, and financial analysis. Oversee SEC and SOX regulatory compliance and reporting while ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting. Provide technical accounting and governance oversight: Research and advise on complex accounting matters, establish and maintain accounting policies, and oversee internal controls, reporting governance, compliance, and audit readiness. Lead teams and cross-functional partnerships: Develop and mentor accounting professionals while collaborating with Finance leadership, auditors, legal partners, and other internal and external stakeholders. Drive process improvements and promote strong accounting and reporting practices. Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting: Active CPA license. Minimum of 7 - 10 years of accounting or financial experience and 2 - 3 years in a leadership position. Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial statement disclosures. Strong understanding of financial reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting: Public accounting experience. Experience with ERP systems. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university is required. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
