Customer Service Representative

Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, hasan opening for a Customer Service Representative at our corporateoffice in Bryan, OH. For over 110 years, Bard Manufacturing Company has been a familyowned and operated company, leading the HVAC industry in the modular,classroom, equipment shelter, and other light commercial markets.With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia, and Mexico, we serviceour customers both nationwide and internationally by designing andmanufacturing cutting-edge engineered products. Scope and Responsibilities: The Customer Service Representative handles customer phone calls andmanages accounts in order to provide complete customer service fromreceipt of order to final shipment of product for a specific territory. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Receives, enters, allocates and acknowledges customer orderspromptly and accurately as required. Performs necessary activitiesto ship customer’s orders (i.e., assigning accurate routings forshipments; coordinating and scheduling truckload shipments, printingpacking sheets, etc.). Handles phone calls to assist customers in many ways (i.e.selecting correct products, presenting alternative solutions toassure quality and customer retention, answer miscellaneousquestions, etc.). If a non-Bard distributor, makes referrals to aBard distributor. Enters requests for special quotes and answers availability andpricing questions from customers, which requires understanding theproduct line, the computer system, Bard policies, and the Bardmarketing network. Enters return authorizations, debits and credits as required. Becomes proficient at other CSR territories in order to cover as a back-up. All other duties as assigned by manager. Experience and Skills: The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities: High School diploma required; Associates degree in business orrelated field preferred; or 2-5 years customer service experience;or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systemssuch as word processing, managing files and records, designingforms, and other office procedures and terminology. Superior written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displayinga good-natured, cooperative attitude.
