Our organization, in collaboration with a prestigious medical institution, is seeking applications for a full-time gastroenterologist to enhance our highly regarded Digestive Health program. The ideal applicant will possess outstanding expertise in general gastroenterology and should either have or intend to cultivate a specialization in areas such as foregut disorders, genetic predispositions to gastrointestinal cancers, lower GI motility issues, quality improvement initiatives, and/or the education of medical students and fellows. Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology and hold a valid Illinois medical license upon appointment. A strong dedication to teaching, mentoring, and academic contributions is essential. The preferred candidate will hold the title of Assistant or Associate Professor and will be a full-time member of the Division within the Department of Medicine.

Our medical center maintains a close affiliation with a nearby VA hospital, which is located directly east of our campus. Several faculty members hold joint appointments at both institutions, and this arrangement can be explored. Medical students and residents participate in rotations at the VA hospital as part of their training. Collaborative research efforts between our institution and the VA are ongoing, focusing on numerous federally funded projects.

This position comes with a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes:

• Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945
